Nashik: The names of 64,172 residents were removed from the rollers of voters because of several duplicate names, while the other was the name of the deceased voter.

The new selection roll is now available for residents to verify and increase claims and doubts with related offices if they find their names missing or wanting changes to names and addresses, etc.
“We have removed 64,172 names that are duplicates or names.
From the deceased voter.
On the other hand, we have added 53,133 new names based on the application.
We now have 45.50 lakh selections in this district,” Deo said.
Deo has received a list of 4.07 names of lakh from political parties claiming they are double entries.
The office has so far verified 1.52 lakh applications, where photos of 1.23 candidates lakh are not suitable despite the same name and age.
So far, 29,533 double entries have been found and therefore, the removal process is being carried out.
The form of removal of 13,965 entries has been collected as part of the process.
To handle multiple entries, collectors have asked political parties to provide the names of Booth level agents (BLA) which have better ideas about local areas and can coordinate with the booth level officer to remove these names.
“There is a process of removing the name of the voter, what application and blas must do can facilitate the process.
We must ensure that the voter’s name is not needed unnecessarily,” added Mandhare.
