New Delhi: About 65.5 percent of beneficiaries who meet the second dose of 18 years and above have received a second dose of Covid vaccine according to the Cowin portal, the Ministry of Health said on Wednesday.
Responding to the question of Rajya Sabha MP M v Shreyams Kumar, Minister of State for Bharati Pawar’s health said on July 25, around 34.04 people crore had received at least the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
“On July 25, 2021, 65.5 percent of beneficiaries who fulfill the second dose of 18 years and above have received the second dose of the Covid vaccine in accordance with the Cowin portal,” said the pawar in a written reply at Rajya Sabha.
He further said that routine review meetings were held with states and the United States to review all aspects of vaccination drive, including coverage of vaccination doses, among various categories of people and advice on prioritizing the second dose of covid vaccination to increase its coverage has been divided.
