Rajkot: A 65-year-old farmer was found killed on his farm in Devpara Village Jas and Taluka in the Rajkot district on Thursday morning.
He was identified as Mavji Vachhani.
On Wednesday night, Vachhani came to sleep in a small house on his farm on the outskirts of Devpara Village.
Then at night, one of the villagers came to meet Vachhani who was also a traditional physician.
The man found Vachhani died and was bound to a bed.
He told Vachhani family members in the village.
Postmortem revealed that Vachhani was strangled.
Police said that Vachhani’s house was searched.
The main probe suggested the victim was killed with the intention of looting.
