Pune: An old woman died while her son was seriously injured in a battle between two families on the ground which was debated near the village of Ghotawade in PAUD on Saturday.
Muktabai Landge (65) surrendered to a head injury while his son Mahadev (33) was undergoing hospital treatment.
Brutal relatives attacked the mother and child with a stick after a fight.
The police have arrested three suspects, including a woman.
An officer from the PAUD police said that the Landge family had an old dispute with their relatives on the ground.
He said that on Saturday morning, Mahadev had tied his cow near the land of his relatives.
“The family has a fight for this problem.
Mahadev, Muktabai and other family members went to the suspect’s house and struggled again,” the officer said.
In anger, the suspects attacked the whole family using a bamboo stick.
“Muktabai and Mahadev suffered a head injury and fell unconscious in place.
Muktabai was pronounced dead at the hospital while Mahadev was still unconscious,” police officers said.
