Hyderabad: Telangana recorded 657 new Covid-19 cases and 2 deaths on Wednesday even when the number of active cases in the country reached 9,314.
The total number of cases from the beginning of the pandemic last year, stood at 6.43,093 and the dead were at 3,793.
The number of active detention zones in the country stands at 33.
Despite two detention zones in Hyderabad, Mahabubabad, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Jagtial, Karimnagar and Bhadadri Kothagudem have the majority of active detention zones in the state.
A total of 578 patients were declared recovered on Wednesday, taking the total number of patients recovered to 6.29,986.
The case fatality rate (CFR) is at 0.58% while the recovery rate reaches 97.96%.
So far 79.8% of the overall cases in the country have asymptomatic while 20.2% have been symptomatic.
On Wednesday, 1,16,815 samples were tested for novel coronavirus.
Telangana has now completed the testing of 2.16 crore samples and has reached 5.82 lakh testing sample per million populations.
GHMC recorded 77 new cases on Wednesday, while Medchal Malkajiri neighbor recorded 32 cases, Rangeddy recorded 36 and bound to record 10 cases.
Outside of Hyderabad and its edges, Jangaon, Peddapalli, Yadadri Bhongir, Warangal Urban and Khammam see more cases.
