Varanasi: The rate of spread of Covid-19 slightly slowed in the Varanasi district on Saturday compared to Friday.
The district recorded 666 new cases of Koronavirus infection on Friday, while the figure dropped to 520 on Saturday.
According to a daily medical bulletin, of 5,097 test results 520 people were tested positive for Covid-19, increasing the number of active cases for 4,076 in the district.
However, 106 patients in house isolation were declared cured on Saturdays.
So far, 512 patients have recovered in the district since December 1, 2021 during the third wave of Covid-19 in the district district.
In Chandauli Regency, 64 people included 14 women and five boys tested positive for Covid-19 on Saturday.
With new cases, the number of active cases of Koronavirus infection increased to 444 in the district.
However, 10 patients recovered from the disease, while the sample 1,749 were collected for testing on Saturday.
Jaunpur District also reported 49 new Covid-19 cases on Saturday, increasing the number of active cases to 295.
