Kochi: Kerala on Monday reported 6,664 Covid-19 cases and active cases fell to 74,735 with 10% requiring hospitalization.
In the last 24 hours, 61,202 tested samples and TPR were 10.88%.
Covid’s official deadly victims in the state reached 28,873 after the State added the fatality of 228 which had previously undocected nine deaths in accordance with the new central government guidelines and 219 deaths until June 18 last year were not confirmed due to lack of adequate documentation and 53 deaths in the last few days to list.
The worst affected district continued to become Ernakulam with 1,168 new cases, followed by Thiruvananthapuram (909), Kollam (923), Thrishikur (559), Kozhiki (559), Idukki (449), Malappuram (396), Pathanamthitta (392), Kottayam (340), Palakkad (306), Alappuzha (217), Wayanad (194) and Kasaragod (149).
The weekly infection population ratio (WIPR) in 211 wards in 158 local bodies above 10.
At present there are 2,65,995 people under supervision in various countries.
Of these, 8,752 were observing in hospitals.
A total of 624 new people were hospitalized.
The majority of infected people in the last 24 hours are through contact, 6,356.
The contact source 229 people are not clear.
This disease affects 59 health workers and the rest from outside the country.
According to the Ministry of Health’s report, from 6,664 new patients, 5,646 qualified for vaccination.
Of these, 1,409 took a vaccine dose and 2,189 had two doses.
But 2,048 people have not been reported to have received a vaccine.
