Coimbatore: A 67-year-old lady was killed and four other people were wounded after the car in which they were travelling rammed into a roadside divider about Chettipalayam–Vadachittur Road close Andikadu on Sunday.S Gunasekarn, 45, of Sakthi Nagar in Chinnavedampatti, was heading into his farmland in Nanjegoundenpudur in his automobile with mum Jothimani, spouse Vidhya Prabha, 40, son G Rohit, 12, along with their comparative Steel Malar, 60.
After the car touched Andikadu, front tyre of the vehicle burst.
Gunasekaran lost control of the car and rammed into a roadside divider.
The vehicle rolled down from the impact.Jothimani endured severe head injuries and died on the place.
Four others suffered injuries and were admitted to a private hospital in Sundarapuram.
