Mumbai: The state government on Thursday surrendered to fill the post 6,100 of the empty teacher post.
Recruitment must be stopped due to the economic impact of Covid-19 about state finances.
The process of recruiting more than 12,000 teachers in schools affiliated with the State Council began in February 2019 through online portals.
About 6,000 posts are filled.
In May 2020, the state out with government resolution extends all recruitment, including teachers.
Last December, the state government excluded teachers from recruitment prohibitions.
The Minister of School Education Varsha Gaikwad thanked the CM Uddhav Thackeray and Deputy CM Ajit Pawar to raise the issue of teacher recruitment.
