Thiruvananthapuram: The country witnessed 7,124 positive cases of 65,306 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
Among new cases detected, 5,903 people have taken vaccinations, 2,723 has used vaccine doses and 1,871 do not even take a single dose.
The current total active case is 72,310, where 7.2% of people are accepted both in hospitals or other care centers.
Meanwhile, 21 recently confirmed deaths as caused by Covid, took the death toll in the state to 33,716.
At the same time, 7,488 patients have recovered from the disease.
Among new cases, 6,713 cases have been infected through local deployment.
Infectious contact sources cannot be traced to 359.
There are 29 health professionals among those infected and 23 people have arrived from outside the country.
Ernakulam reported the highest number of cases with 1.061, followed by Thiruvananthapuram (1,052), Thrissur (726), Kozhikode (722), Kollalam (622), Kottayam (517), Kannur (384), Wayanad (384), 322), Pathanamthitta (318), Malappuram (314), Alappuzha (303), Palakkad (278), and Kasaragod (117).
There are a total of 2,35,910 people currently observing in various countries, where 2,29,289 are in their homes or institutional quarantine centers and 6,621 in isolation in hospitals.
In accordance with the weekly infection population ratio, 46 wards in 39 local bodies have more than 10% WIPR.
On this ward, strict limitation locking has been implemented.
