7 Arrested because of the statue of Shivaji at B’luru

Bengaluru: Seven people, all members of the pro-Kannada organization were arrested by Bengaluru City Police for allegedly damaging the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Bashyam Circle in Sadashivanagar on Friday.
They were identified as: Chethan Gowda, President, Pade Kannada Ranadheera; Gurudeva Narayan Kumar, President, the central committee of Akhila Karnataka Kannada Chaluvali and their Associates Varun, Naveen Gowda, Vinod, Yogesh and Chetan Kumar.
Mn Anucheth, Deputy Commissioner of Police (center), said the criminals apply black paint to the statue.
Police Sadashivanagar enrolled FIR and several teams had been formed to track and arrest other suspects.
“Based on the instructions, we arrested five people on Saturday and two again on Sunday.
Efforts to outperform others involved in violations,” Anucheth said.
Police additional troops said the incident occurred around 12:30 a.m.
on Friday.
On Friday morning, the police stung the police, who cleaned the statue and mobilized additional personnel to thwart the possibility of a counter-attack.
The police said the suspects recognized their crime and said they were angry about some activists of Maharashtra Ekikaran Samiti (MES) who set Kannada flags burned in Maharashtra last week.
The initial investigation revealed a gang 13 people arrived in the car, two autorickshaws and bicycles to the place.
They have hatched plans four days before.
Initially, the gang focused on the Shivaji statue near the City Hall, but finally decided on a statue near Sankey Tank.
They compiled the area on Monday and left the stairs near the statue on Tuesday.
They had planned to tarnish the statue on Wednesday night, but left after finding the police near the place.
They finally succeeded on Thursday night
