7 Children died of diarrhea, mysterious diseases in 2 Palwal villages

Chandigarh: Seven children have died of diarrhea and mysterious diseases in Twin Village Chili and Chhilla Sub-Division Hathin from Palwal in the last 14 days.
The outbreak was first reported on September 1 when the villagers began to rush their children to the primary health center (PHC) in Hathin.
Children who have died include Aksha (5 months), Sanjum (6 years), Farhaan (7 years), Saqib (6 years), Tarnum (28 days) and Axha (8 years).
According to health officials, two children die from mysterious diseases and their swabs have been sent for further examination.
The rest died of diarrhea and fever, officials added.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health has ruled out Covid infection after a sample of 114 children, including those who died, tested negatively.
About 250 children were tested for malaria and 12 were tested for dengue fever as well.
“The situation is very controlled.
Our Medicos team, led by senior medical officers (SMO), camping in PHC and in villages for monitoring, diagnosis, and treatment.
Until now, no one tests positive Covid-19,” ACS Health said , Haryana, Rajiv Arora.
District administrative team, Ministry of Health and Public Health Engineering Department tried to ensure the causes of water contamination and connect the same, he added.
Arora said the team camped in the village since September 9.
Health authorities have mobilized the Integrated Disease Monitoring Program (IDSP) and the Department of Public Health Engineering to contain illness.
Four children have been referred to Palwal civil hospitals while around 68 have been treated at the Primary Hathin Health Center.
