7 Detained with 6 kg of Ethanol at Bokaro Town

Bokaro: A special police officer detained seven individuals also recovered 6kg of uranium out of these after raids at various areas of the town on Thursday.
Bokaro SP Chandan Kumar Jha explained,”We’ve captured the yellowish substance and will deliver it to specialists for evaluations.
Uranium is an extremely radioactive material used in atomic facilities” Authorities said the accused, supposed to become a part of federal gang engaged with illegal petroleum commerce, were looking for clients and had mended its cost Rs 50 lakhs per watt.

Those arrested have been identified since Bapi Da alias Bapi Chandra, Anil Singh, Deepak Kumar, Krishna Kant, Hare Ram Sharma, Mahavir Mahto and Pankaj Mahto.
They’re inhabitants of different areas of the district.
Deepak and Bapi have history.
It’s illegal to own uranium with no permit in India and breach of the Atomic Energy Act, 1962, can bring in stringent punishment.
Jha said authorities received information that a number of criminals are getting ready to sell ethanol.
A nine member group led by Chas DSP Mukesh Kumar along with City DSP Kuldeep Kumar were included with the raids.
“It remains uncertain how they got their hands to the freezing metal.
During interrogation, they said West Bengal, Giridih along with some different places.
Seven cellular phones and a bike were also captured in these,” he explained.

Uranium Corporation of India Limited (UCIL) has a uranium processing plant in Jaduguda, approximately 150km in Bokaro city.
Sources said police can be investigating to determine whether the detained accused have some connections using a similar racket divided with Maharashtra Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) on May 5 when it nabbed two individuals.
A total of 7.1 kg of pure gas values 21.3 crore was captured by the duo named as Jigar Jayesh Pandya (27) along with Abu Tahir Afzal Choudhary (31).
