MORADABAD: Special SC / SC Court on Monday gave a life sentence to seven people to assign two sisters belonging to the Dalit community caught fire in Moradabad Uttar Pradesh in 2010.
The sisters were burned alive on December 18 with the protection of double killings that accused their brother.
In the order of 26 pages, Sandhya Choudhury’s Sandhya Choudhury Judge found seven accused of guilty on the basis of evidence produced by additional district government advisors (ADGC) Anand Pal Singh and demanded them under SC / ST (Prevention of cruelty) acting.
Sateesh Madan, Sagar Bhandula, Banti Malik, Asha Sachdeva, Amarjeet Kaur, Vinod Kajkad and Sania Kohli were punished by the court and penalty of RS 1 Lakh each forced on them.
They were sent to the Moradabad prison district, said Singh.
On the day of the incident, a horde gathered outside Rajo’s house and burned it.
While he escaped was not hurt, his daughter Gita (22) and Monu (20) were burned alive in the next fire.
The son of Rajo Rakesh, who worked as a sweeper, was accused of killing a 30-year-old woman and his eight-year-old daughter during a robbery on December 9, 2010.
