BOKARO: A special police group regained 6kg of ore from seven individuals after raids at various locations in Jharkhand’s Bokaro, on Thursday.
They had been detained.
Authorities said that the accused, supposed to participate in a federal gang engaged with prohibited petroleum commerce, were looking for clients and had mended its price in Rs 50 lakh/kg.
A pound of petrol sells for about Rs 18 crore in the international marketplace, sources said.
Sources said authorities are also investigating to determine if the detained accused have some connections using a similar racket divided from Maharashtra ATS on May 5.
