New Delhi: MP BJP Manoj Tiwari on Monday wrote a letter to the education Minister Union Dharmendra Pradhan, asked him to hold a meeting with the department and institution concerned so that land allotment for the opening of the seven new schools Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Seven Delhi Regency could be accelerated.
In 2016-17 there were 62 New Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya schools approved by the central government where seven were approved for Delhi.
Schools have not opened because of the unavailability of land.
“In 2016-17 the central government asked for land resources and temporarily from the Delhi government to open seven New Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya schools in the national capital area.
But the Delhi government did not provide the required land.
Because of the illness of land from the Delhi government, schools cannot Opened, “Manoj Tiwari, who raised this problem in parliament earlier this year, was stated in the letter.
Tiwari, which represents the Northeast Delhi constituency at Lok Sabha, has learned that Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti has now asked the Delhi development authority for the land needed to open new schools.
“I feel there is a need to call a meeting with all departments and landowners’ institutions concerned so that the school opening process can be accelerated,” said Tiwari.
One New Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya School will be opened in East, West, North, South, Northeast, Northeast, and Shahdara.
At present only two Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya schools that function in the capital are home to more than 2 crore people.
“There are provisions to open a school in each district under the Navodaya Vidyalaya scheme.
Only two Navodaya Vidyalaya schools are running in Delhi.
Schools can be opened many years ago having the Delhi government considering the land required.
The school will provide quality education To hundreds of students from Delhi and make sure they are a better and brighter future, “Tiwari Toi said.
