Jammu / Manali: Seven people died and many people who were feared missing in the village of Honzar Kiswar J & K as Cloudburst swept home, depot rations, bridges and other properties Wednesday morning.
In Himachal, nine people died while some were reported missing after flash floods in Kullu, Lahaul-Spiti and Chamba and Chamba Regency on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
Honzar remote village is a three-hour walk from the nearest road, but the rescue team from the army, the police and SDRF act and reached a point of time to save many lives.
Officials said Cloudburst hit the village at around 4:30 a.m.
Seventeen people who were injured were rescued while more than 20 people were missing, the Commissioner of the Development of the District A K Sharma said.
