Nagpur: Indira Gandhi National Open University (Ignou) will conduct the theory test for students at the end of the year / semester who qualifies from August 3 throughout the country.
In Vidarbha, seven districts will host an exam where around 2,300 students will appear.
P Sivaswaroop, Regional Director Ignou, said, “All Covid-19 guidelines issued by the government will be followed in our centers.
When a student enters the hall, the temperature will be examined.
If it violates the parameters permitted, then students will be sent back.
“Even in the exam center, Ignou officials will follow the SOP set.
“The arrangement of seats has been done in line with the guidelines of distance and covid care will be taken regarding the place too.
We will clean up the exam hall and public areas to increase additional safety layers,” Sivazaiop said.
The mask will be mandatory for everyone in the exam hall.
“Students must wear a mask throughout and will be encouraged to use cleaners.
Our invigilator will wear masks and gloves,” said Sivaswaroop.
Apart from Nagpur, exam centers have been completed in Amravati, Chandrapur, Nanded, Gadchiroli, Wardha and Buldhana.
Sivazaiop said, “Hall tickets are available online and can be printed by students.” Ignou, in his previous notification of this exam, has clarified that those who cannot appear now can reappear during the December exam.
Notification of July 9 added that this exam was only for students last year / semester.
Ignou VB Registrar Negi has mentioned that if the Covid-19 situation deteriorates in any state / city during the exam period, the test must be postponed and held in December.
“The costs have been paid by students for the final examination in June 202i for courses that have not been examined in August / September 2021 will be adjusted to the costs paid for the next examination,” Write Negi.
