Gurgaon: The Ministry of Health sent a proposal to the district administration on Wednesday stating that the seven detention zones were created in the city where there were three or more active Covid cases.
Door-to-door playback will be carried out in these places and MCG will clean the area.
The detention zone can be stated after a period of 14 days, depending on the number of cases, according to the proposal.
Seven areas are Sushant Lok 1 and TB Gurgaon 1, Sector 84, (each with four active cases) and Ridgewood Estate, DLF Phase 4, Tower B, 10th floor, Anantraj Maceo, Sector 91, Casa Bella, Sector 83, PALM Springs, Sector 54, and Iero Grand Arch, Sector 58, (each with three active cases).
At present, there are no detention zones in the city.
Since December 1, 171 Covid cases have been recorded in Gurgaon and the number of active cases is 99 on Wednesday.
According to official data, 90 patients were in house isolation.
“We noticed that the family became a Covid cluster.
People need to isolate themselves for several days if they travel to or from other parts of the country and are very important to follow all Covid protocols,” said Chief Medical Officer Yadav.
Last month, three detention zones were told – Areas near Amity Global School in Sector 56, Tower K in Sector 48’s Central Park, and Tower A from DLF The Bareaire, Sector 54.
Meanwhile, the city recorded 18 new Covid cases on Wednesday Wednesday, taking Caseload to 1.81,887.
According to official data, 17 people have recovered, taking the calculation to 1,80,861.
93 patients were in house isolation.
The level of Gurgaon recovery was at 99.3%.
On Thursday, 40 government sites will be open to vaccination.
While Covishield will be given at 34 sites, Covaxin will be given to five.
