Coimbatore: Gang seven members have been arrested for attacking a businessman and trying to adjust property.
Police Saravanampatti has formed a special team for NAB John Pandian, founder of Tamil Nadu Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam, in connection with the case based on the statement of suspicion that they work for him.
An investigative officer said the gang fell to a 39-year-old two-wheeled accessory store A Deepak Arora in Maniyaranpalayam on Monday afternoon and tried to empty it from the store by claiming property ownership.
“Vadavalli residents, it was on his own land that Deepak had set up a shop called Dhruv Enterprises.
When he refused to empty the shop, the gang attacked Deepak and threatened him with terrible consequences,” the officer said.
Deepak submitted a complaint with the Saravanampatti police, who registered the case and arrested G Jayaraj, 52, from Maniyaranpalayam, a Santhosh, 52, from Vinayagapuram, V Jagan, 40, from Balaji Nagar in Vilankurichi Road, P Dealing, 36, from Veregereram, K Madhan , 33, from TV Nagar, M Kashiravan, 49, from Meena Estate and V Karupusamy, 35, Ganapatati on the same night.
They then nested in prison under Judicial supervision.
“Gang members told us that they worked for John Pandian.
We have recorded their statements and formed a special team for NAB John Pandian,” said Police Inspector Saravanampatti Kandasamy ..
