Patna: A seven-year-old girl, who was identified as Shivani Kumari, died of Encephalitis Syndrome (AES) in Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital (SKMCH) at Muzaffarpur on Friday, took the victim this year to 11.

“He died today regardless of our best efforts,” said Dr.
Sahni to this newspaper by telephone.
According to the hospital authority, at all 51 children with AES symptoms has been received there since January this year.
From them, 11 had died.

Jha said four more children with AES symptoms had been received in the last 48 hours.
From them, Rajesh Kumar (07) and Shabhnam Kumari (08) belonging to Goroul and Lalganj in the Vaishali District while Sahil (07) and Annu Priya each (02) each of them came from Muzaffarpur blocks.
They underwent treatment in the trigger at the hospital.
He said three out of four children had been diagnosed as infected with AES.
The fourth is treated as an unknown AE case.

He said high temperatures coupled with moisture in the past few days caused the case of fresh AES in this region recently.
Awareness campaign has been launched in rural areas to examine the spread of deadly diseases.
Since January this year, 51 cases have been reported to SKMCH.
From them, 39 is the case of AES which is known while the remaining 12 is unknown.
However, Drh Jha said the AES case reported was far less this year than the previous year.
He associated the reason for the appropriate awareness campaign and supervision of the population of villages previously affected.
A senior administration officer said DM Pranav Kumar took a stock of situations that apply in the villages in the district where the AES case had been previously reported.
Muzaffarpur, Vaishali, Sitamine, Sheohar, East and West Champaran Regency have been identified as the worst blow as the majority of AES cases reported from there.
