Lucknow: A total of 48 police have been suspended in the last six months for weaknesses that lead to the sale of false liquor, causing the death of people in various parts of the country.
A total of nine police were suspended when ten people died after consuming fake liquor in Agra.
Similar actions began at the incident of the death of liquor reported from Aligarh, Ambedkar Nagar, Pratapgarh, Fatehpur, Chitrakraj.
According to the report, in these districts around 70 people have died after consuming fake alcohol.
45 people have died in Aligarh.
Director General of Police additional police, law and command, Prashant Kumar, said the police were suspended to send a clear message that the negligence of the task would not be tolerated at each level.
“The suspension of the lower level police is the first exercise.
The senior level police will also be taken to the book immediately,” he added.
Kumar also said that at that time and again the government and Uttar Pradesh DGP had issued a circular to the district police chief to make efforts by coordinating with the Excise Ministry to raid on illegal liquor and specifically targeting the liquor mafia in their area.
“They were ordered to use intelligence to check the sale of fake liquor,” Adg said.
Taking knowing more than 45 deaths in the ALIGARH in June this year, the DGP has also taken a strong tone and instructed the district police chief to carry out specific operations, time bound to the trading of liquor that was specialized.
In the same incident, the government has also suspended Karmveer Singh, Police Circle Officer in the area of ​​Gabhana in Aligarh after weakness in supervision of his territory which leads to Hooch’s death.
In fact, as many as 14 police were shown by the door while 548 police were also transferred into the district after the Aligarh tragedy.
