Coimbatore: About 70% of Covid-19 CSSes in the city are under house isolation for mild symptoms, Dr.
Vasanth City Health Officer Assistant Diwakar said here on Thursday.
On Wednesday, there were 1,750 active cases in the city.
Dr.
Vasanth was sent by 20% of the infected undergoing treatment at private hospitals while only 5% were undergoing treatment at government hospitals and the remaining 5% at the Covid Care Center in the City.
“There is no cluster in the city.
Infection was reported only sporadically from various parts of the city.
Health officials monitor crowded areas including the market to prevent clusters,” he said.
Other officials said that the city has 31 detention zones with streets that have five cases or more than two houses.
Meanwhile, the number of positive daily cases reported in the city has crossed more than 600 on Thursday.
The district reported 1,162 new cases on Thursday, took the total number of people undergoing treatment up to 5,190.
There was no death because Covid was in the district that day.
In Tirupur, 451 new infections were reported.
The total number of people undergoing treatment now is 1,750.
