The next wave of Covid-19 is steadily decreasing across the nation, however, the drop in cases has been much flatter in central and northern India, compared to south west and Maharashtra.
India reported 1,31,739 new cases on Thursday.
Almost 70 percent of those cases were reported in Maharashtra and also the southern area , which collectively accounted for 91,308 fresh circumstances, according to TOI’s Covid database.
The talk of Maharashtra along with the south in complete instances was creeping up over the last month.
On May 27, just a week before, the discussion stood at 66.5 percent.
In contrast, on May 6, the day India recorded its greatest single-day instance count of 4,14,554, Maharashtra and south collectively made up 50 percent of total.
