Rajkot: A 70-year-old guy was mauled to death with a predator at Padiyarka village of Mahuva taluka at Bhavnagar district on Wednesday morning.
The victim was known as Bhana Bariya.
He had been sleeping in his farm on the outskirts of Padiyarka village once the incident happened.
“Bariya was sleeping at the plantation and had made up to relieve himself after the predator assaulted him.
The creature also ate a portion of Bariya’s hand,” R Chauhan, array forest officer of Mahuva stated.
In accordance with Chauhan, it’s guessed that the predator mistook Bariya for victim and assaulted him.
Bariya’s body has been discovered by a second villager early in the afternoon that advised the village sarpanch who contacted that the woods officials.
The body has been shipped to get post-mortem along with the cages are established to snare the leopard.There have been many instances of human-animal battle in the forest regions of Gujarat from yesteryear.
Between 2015 and 2019, leopards assaulted 718 individuals in various areas of the country leading to 67 deaths, and the authorities had informed the state in March that year.
