Ghaziabad: About 700 tests for malaria are being carried out in the district every day since September 1 and a number of people are being examined for dengue fever every day.
So far this month, more than 7,000 people have been played for malaria, officials said.
With the number of TIFUS scrub cases, the Ministry of Health has recently started a free testing facility in the Laboratory of the Integrated Disease Monitoring Program.
For now, 10 kits have been obtained and more will be ordered if needed.
According to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Ghaziabad, Dr.
Bhavtosh Shankhdhar, 96 people can be tested with one kit.
Since January 1, the district has recorded 79 dengue, 10 cases of Typhus Malaria and 25 scrubs.
Private laboratories in the district at a cost of around Rs 800 per test for Typhus scrubs.
Meanwhile, under a special 10-day drive that began on Tuesday, around 300 fever patients detected every day, officials said.
These patients were monitored by Asha and Anganwadi workers and asked to contact the nearest public health center or primary health center to be examined.
The Ministry of Health fever team surveyed more than one lakh household every day.
“In most cases, seasonal fever people.
Wherever the case of dengue or malaria fever was detected, we surveyed houses located within the 100 million household radius and made an anti-larval boost in the region.
Along with this, we also did this area drive awareness for residents, “CMO added.
The Ministry of Health is preparing a list in such a way of all fever patients and send reports to the government every day.
The doctor’s team has been used to ensure that all patients are tested and taking medication.
In other development, on Sundays, the private laboratory in the district uploaded information about the official portal which stated five family members tested positive for Covid.
But then, it was found that their report was negative.
Since September 1, two Covid cases have been detected in the district, Dr.
RK Gupta, said the district supervision officer.
