City: Unrelenting rain for more than 48 hours has thrown a normal life of equipment in the district of Baran on Tuesday.
About 600-700 people have been evacuated from the villages of Shahabad and Kishanganj who are hit by safer places.
“The situation is like a flood in Baran seriously because many people have been trapped in the middle of water overflowing around several villages,” SP (Baran) vineet bansal.
He said, the two teams of SDRF were involved in rescue operations in Block Kishanganj, however, the situation in the Chipabarode area was very important after the gate of the Lassi dam opened.
The Shahabad block has received 246mm rainfall in the last 24 hours.
HR (Shahabad) Rahul Malhotra said, around 600-700 people have been evacuated from villages who vaulted.
They shifted to the Atal Seva Kendras and the school building.
However, there were no living losses that had been reported, some straw houses were reported to collapse in the area because of consistent rain, he said.
SDRF squad on Tuesday saved five people from the family, including the pair and their three children, who were trapped overnight in their homes in Bohta Village after being flooded because of the overflow of the River waste.
“The situation like the flood is very serious in the Kishanganj block because all the rivers and water bodies in the area are overflowing due to consistent rain in the last 48 hours in the area and warnings have been heard across the block to evacuate people from low-lying areas, HR (blocks Kishanganj) Gourav Mittal.
