New Delhi: Seventy-one percent of the population of adult countries has received at least one dose of Covid-19 and 27 percent vaccine has received a dose, the government said on Thursday because the cumulative vaccine shooting given in the country crossed 93 crores.
Overcoming a press conference here, members of Niti Aayog (Health) Dr.
V K Paul said there was no problem with the availability of vaccines in this country now when he urged the people who both will be fully vaccinated.
About 93 crore vaccine doses have been given, and the second dose coverage also takes speed, he said, adding that it is very important to fully protect ourselves.
“The second dose of many people is due.
Our vaccine is truly safe, there is not much reaction and they can be taken during the festival too,” Paul said.
The first dose coverage of less than 60 percent in Jharkhand, West Bengal, Meghalaya, Manipur and Nagaland, he said.
“It’s no time to hesitate, and in the coming weeks, we have to complete vaccinations.
There is no problem of vaccine availability now.
We all have to receive vaccines and save themselves,” Paul stressed.
Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Health Union Lav Agarwal said 99 percent of health care workers had received the first dose, while 85 percent had taken the second.
Among the frontline workers, the first dose coverage is 100 percent and the second dose is 83 percent, he added.
“Seventy-one percent of the country’s adult population has received at least one dose of Covid-19 and 27 percent vaccine has been given at a dose,” Agarwal said.
According to data distributed, the average daily dose provided in a month has increased from 19.69 lakh in May to 39.89 lakh in June, 43.41 lakh in July and 59.29 lakh in August.
The average daily vaccination in September was 78.69 lakh, and in October, it was 62.56 lakh per day until Thursday.
