Coimbatore: The district saw a fully vaccinated population increased by 2% on Saturday, when 56,813 people were inoculated at a second dose of vaccines against Covid-19 during the seventh mega vaccination drive.
That day also saw 14,353 people in this district take the first dose of their vaccine.
A health official said they had been in total 71,166 people on that day, when more than 1,112 vaccination camps were held as part of Mega Drive.
While the 841 vaccination camp was held in rural areas, the urban area hosted 271 camps.
The official said the 27.07 lakh population of 38.67 lakh in the district was eligible to take Jab.
