A total of 208 positive Covid-19 cases have been reported from the IIT-H campus from January 6 infected students allegating that they face difficulties accessing ambulance services on campus and adding that the clinic does not even have oximeters.
“I called the emergency contact number from the hostel office more than 10 times when I experienced respiratory problems, but there was no answer.
What if something serious happened?” Asked a student, who was tested positively and lacked isolation.
Other students said, “I can’t get an ambulance on the first day.
The number of cases has increased in such a way that Phar Macy’s number is always busy and difficult to reach.
It takes at least five to six hours for drugs to be sent.
Even more Time, the drugs run out of stock so we have to wait a day.

Students question why this Institute asked students to buy credit oximeters or pay RT-PCR tests when they raised money from students for health insurance.
The Institute announces that the class will be carried out in online mode until March 16.
“More than 600 students have left campus,” said BS Murty, Director, IIT-H.
“Almost all cases are reportedly light or asymptomatic and show signs of good recovery within four to five days.” In the previous letter, the Institute said that two ambulances, including ‘ICU on Wheels’, available 24×7 for all emergency situations, including Shift cases to higher centers.
Food and medicines for all students affected by Covid are conveyed directly by participants who take the required Covid protocol, the Institute added.
