New Delhi: The IT Ministry has suspended 73 Twitter handles, four YouTube channels and one match on Instagram for content calculated, especially centered around the fake video from the intended cabinet meeting.
The handle was believed to have originated from Pakistan, said the source, added the steps initiated after Twitter users complained to the Junior Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar.
The first information about the video that was eager was distributed on Twitter handle Chandrasekhar where Twiiter users asked him to “take action against very hard video creators that display PM”.
Minister of Junior for Electronics and Rajeev Chandrasekhar said that the “false and violent video” has been in the public domain since December 2020.
Responding to the request, said Minister, “at work”, and added that the IT ministry took responsibility to keep the internet safe and Trusted, and intermediaries (social media companies) are responsible for the content and thorough testing “very serious”.
Then, Chandrasekhar said that the unit of assignments on the internet that was safe and trusted had worked on this problem.
“Handle who tries to push fake / inciting content on Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram has been blocked.” Also, he said the account owner was being identified to act according to the law.
The Minister also said that the Ministry will review the performance of platforms in their thorough test.
