73% of BTECH IIT-Gandhinagar graduates are placed

Ahmedabad: The 10 meetings from IIT-Gandhinagar (IIT-GN) took place in virtual mode on Sundays where 548 students were given degrees.
IIT-GN officials said that of the total BTECH students came out, around 73% were placed and around 15% would continue further study.
The first batch of five years Dual Major Btech program graduated at a ceremony where students got a degree in two disciplines with an additional year.
The title recipients included 175 BTECH students, 5 Major Btech’s double students, 1 BTECH-MTECH DUAL DEGREE student, 155 MTech students, 95 MSc students, 30 MA students, 86 PhD students, and PGDIIT students.
In all, 52 students won 58 medals at the ceremony.
Dr.
Pawan Munjal, Chair and CEO of Hero Motocorp, is the main guest at the ceremony.
“This is the time to show the world that the next set of technology giants will be born from India,” he said in his speech.
“We always talk about our ingenuity, bonus demographics, and we never said dead ‘spirits; If there is time to make the most of these traits, it’s certain now.
” Compared to 27 and 55 degrees of PhD were given in 2019 and 2020, 86 degrees of doctorates was given this year.
Compared to 13 of 2020, 39 students completed the BTECH course in seven semesters instead of eight.
The last placement of SAW TCS and TestBook recruited 10 and 11 students, officials said.
Students who want to learn further can go to the US, Switzerland, Belgium, and Saudi Arabia among other places, they add.
