73% of Indian youth in Unicef poll saying the quality of education has become better now than in the past

New Delhi: A new Unicef-Gallup international survey in 21 countries shows that of 1,500 respondents from India, almost 73% between 15-24 years believe that the quality of education will be better than in the past.
This survey also showed that 57% in the same age group and 45% of people over 40 years felt that education was the determinant of the greatest success.
Nearly 58% of youth believe that children today experience more pressure to succeed.
“Changed childhood projects”, are the first surveys to submit several generations for their views on the world and how it feels to be a child today.
It surveyed more than 21,000 people in 15-24 and 40 years over the age group in 21 countries in early 2021.
Respondents from India were surveyed before the second deadly wave of this year.
“In India, where a large number of young people in the world live, are very encouraging to see optimism and values ​​attached to education,” said Yasumasa Kimura, representative of UNICEF India.
Surveys show that 64 percent of young people aged 15-24 in India will likely believe that the world is a better place.
This is higher than the average in 21 countries, which is 57%.
However, the survey found half of the young people surveyed from India worried about personal information collected when using the internet.
60% also believe that meeting someone directly after meeting them online is very risky.
The report shows that 55% of young people have heard about climate change compared to 42% of parents – the biggest overall gap in 21 countries.
The younger generation is far more likely to blame the company for climate change.
65% of young respondents from India believe that it is very important for politicians to listen to children’s voices.
Nearly 57% of young people believe that the age of marriage for women must be more than 18 years old.
The findings of surveys from India also showed several perception gaps between younger and older respondents.
For example, 57% of young people use the internet every day, compared to 27% of parents – the biggest generation difference between 21 countries.
Besides India, other countries surveyed include Argentina, Bangladesh, Brazil, Cameroon, Ethiopia, France, Germany, Japan, Indonesia, Kenya, Lebanon, Mali, Morocco, Nigeria, Peru, Spain, United States, Ukraine, United States, and Zimbabwe.
