New Delhi: The challenge is quite simple, but the results hold the promise to give a much larger scale.
Given 75 hours to work in a small small area, not used badly or just ignored, 31 cities under Smart City Mission (SCM) developed 50 public spaces with a cumulative area of 1 square meter lakh to provide better traffic and pedestrian movements to citizens.
Automatic seller facilities or recreational space.
The success of the ’75 -Hour “challenge with a mini project called” Tactical Intervention ‘is set to be taken for wider replication by the city even with the environmental level committee that sees the potential to reverse the productive environment for young and old.
These projects are based on what is also called “marathon making place” including increasing roads because it also increases the park, including green bags along the way, increased outdoor infrastructure and public health centers.
This center has now launched the second phase of the marathon to encourage cities to rearrange one or more public spaces in their city and change it quickly to show off real changes to citizens.
“SCM has promoted a learning-learning approach because it is fundamental to bringing the transformation of citizens on a sustainable manner.
The manufacture of places is a manifestation of that approach in the transformation of urban space.
This is a low-cost method, low time to test ideas and learn from it,” said Kunal Kumar, SCM Mission Director.
For example, spaces that are not used under the Vadsar flyover in Vadodara are converted to the play and study area for REANWADI at Rs 9.85 lakh in three days.
The head of the Smart Vadodara City architect, Priyank Shah, said, “The area under the flyover was lying not used.
It has become a hub for anti-social elements.
We involved 75 architectural students and scrap resource resources from local institutions.”
