New Delhi: As part of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav ongoing 75 years of independence of India, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Tuesday launched a special Metro decorated Yamuna Bank Metro Station on the Blue Line.
The trains were inducted into passenger service immediately after launch.
In accordance DMRC, exterior special train has eight coaches exclusively wrapped and decorated with a collage of images and slogans that describe the glorious history of its people, culture and achievements in the last 75 years indicate the spirit of ‘Aatmnirbhar Bharat’.
“The train has been symbolically launched on the occasion of Republic Day celebrations to spread the ideas of nationalism and unity among the general public.
This special train will continue to remain in service throughout the period the warning ‘AzadikaAmritmahotsav’,” they got the information in a press conference.
DMRC has organized a number of activities to commemorate ‘AzadikaAmritmahotsavsav – 75 years celebration of Independence’ (Akam) India since last year.
2021 July 2021, DMRC started its activities Akam memorial of Lal Quila Metro Station on Violet line in the form of an exhibition to display the historical significance of the place where the Prime Minister addresses the nation on every Independence Day.

DMRC also told that from time to time, activities online and on-ground as Cyctothon, children workshops, quizzes and competitions draw etc are also being organized by the DMRC to create awareness about the use of public transport, non-motorized transport, environmental benefits.
