78% of students in Bengaluru want to return to college

Bengaluru: With a pandemic fatigue taking the victim, a survey has found that 78% of students study in the city want to return to campus while 67% longn for direct interactions with friends, seniors and professors.
But not without the required protocol – 55% of students expect the protocol to prevent Covid-19 transmission so they return to campus, while 45% expect a hybrid learning model.
The survey was conducted by the Collpoll, the first first-digital campus platform, on 23 campuses in 10 cities, with more than 1,300 students participating from all over the country.
It was part of the initiative ‘back to Safe Campus’ by Collpoll.
The number of students who want to return to campus in Bengalaru is higher than it in Jaipur (77%), Delhi NCR (70%) and even the national average (75%).
However, students in Pune showed the most eager to return to campus (79%).
Throughout the country, 49% of students said they missed in-inheritance interactions with peers and lecturers.
The survey also found that 45% of students preferred physical classrooms (56% in Bengaluru), compared to 30% who wanted to continue to attend classes online because they felt very effective.
A quarter of survey participants consider the availability and support of the most important professors in online learning experience.
About 5% experienced a significant increase in their stress level and severe reduction in emotions of anger, anxiety, loneliness, despair, and happiness.
Nearly half the respondents expect a strong protocol to prevent transmission after they return to campus.
