Salem: The city police slap goonda acts on repeat violators to reduce the crime rate.
Of the 79 GOONRA cases acted, 45 was listed between June 1 and September 9, said Police Commissioner Najmul Hoda.
While 10 people were detained for theft, six were held for Pocso’s violations, each for Bootleging and Black marketing, two to sell drugs and 14 for immoral trade until May.

“The racket is walking under the guise of the spa,” he said.
“We started hard action in the first week of August and slapped the GOONRA law on the people involved in meat trade, the highest in the history of the city of Salem City.”
