New Delhi: The latest report from the positive covid sample analyzed in the Delhi genome sequencing laboratory proves what medical experts say for some time – a massive surge in new cases driven by the Coronavirus novel variant.
Delhi has reported 546 Omicron cases to date, behind 1,247 and Rajasthan Maharashtra 645, which has added a national calculation of 4,461.
Overall, 1,711 patients have recovered from this disease, including 57 in the capital.
The first Omicron case was reported in Delhi on December 6, when a 33-year-old man who had returned from Tanzania confirmed positively.
In December, 1,553 positive covid samples were sent to the laboratory for analysis, where 590 was another variant, 533 (34%) was a type of Delta variant and 430 (28%) Omicron.
The 511 sample was analyzed between January 1 and 8 revealed the presence of an extraordinary Omicron variant, which was found in 402 (79%) of the sample.
The Delta variant, which was recently dominant, was found at 89 (17.4%) from the sample, while other variants were found in 20 (3.9%).
While the overall presence of the Omicron variant in all samples was analyzed between December 1 and 31 was 28%, the genome sequencing data from December 25 to 30 revealed that half the sample was omicron.
Of the 863 samples were analyzed during this period, 433 (50.2%) were Omicron, 293 (34%) of Delta and 137 (15.8%) from other variants.
Initially, the Delhi government has announced that all covid positive samples will be analyzed in the genome sequencing laboratory, but the need is not felt when the number of cases of spinning as it is proven that most are omicron cases, source words.
“People demand omicron test today.
But information about Omicron is only needed for the government and policy makers so that they can ensure the system works accordingly.
Patients will not recognize something new about the variant because the care process and precautions exactly the same as other variants,” Health Minister Satyendar Jain has stated earlier this month.
While at first all cases of Omicron variants were accepted in the designated insulation environment at the Delhi Nayak Lok Hospital, then it was decided that only those whose symptoms would be hospitalized.
The patients were transferred to covid care centers or paid isolation facilities at the hotel, if they chose it.
