Bijnor: In a large-scale difference extracted in the distribution of benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, close to 7.8 lakh ‘does not meet the requirements’ Jan Dhan found each in the state.
Of these, 2.3 lakh was found as an entrepreneur, trader and other professionals who were taxpayers.
The most surprising, more than 32,000 beneficiaries are dead.
Deviations – which arise during cross examinations of online systems – have prompted a team with the Ministry of Agriculture and income to verify recipients in all 75 districts.
Girish Chand, Deputy Director, Ministry of Agriculture, Bijnor, told Tii, “About 7.79 lakh who did not meet the beneficiaries found can receive funds.
Their bank account was associated with aadhaar and pan cards, which helped us track it.” He added that there are provisions to restore government assistance if transferred to accounts of people who do not meet the requirements.
Vivek Kumar Singh, Director, Agriculture, Up, said, “The beneficiary is being carried out.
Recovery will be made from those who receive assistance because of errors or by forging documents.” In Bijnor, there are 12,000 accounts.
There are 20,600 beneficiaries that do not meet the requirements in Saharanpur, 12,500 in Muzaffardagar and 9,000 in Meerut.
