Religious: The police on Wednesday destroyed the gang between countries with the arrest of nine members, eight of them came from Jharkhand, from Jambul in Khajuria near the NH-16 below the limit of the Goshaninuagon police station in mixed.
“AUTOMATIC REPLE, Country-made Revolver with Three Ammunition, Three Live Bombs, Three Swords, Three Roads of Iron and 32 sets of cellphones, which have been stolen by members of the gang from various places in the Ganjam District are arrested from them,” Sub-Directoral Officers (Mixed) Bishnu Prasad Starch.
He added that the gang, which was previously only involved in taking cellphones from various regions in the district, was preparing large dakoitas on national highways, when police arrested them.
Of the 32 cellphones taken from their ownership, ten was found to have been taken from various areas of the Hinjili and Hinjili on 17 and July 18, Pati said.
