Introduction Investigations show that pesticides, sprayed by farmers in the field to protect their wheat grains from insects, can be the cause of peacock death.
Officials said the consumption of the grain is full of pesticides by continuous animals for several days can be fatal for them.
Siawakar Srivastava, Division Forest Officer, National Sanctuary Chambal, Agra, told TI that the peacockcraft has been sent for post-mortem in Akola Block to ensure the cause of their deaths.
