8 pending roads under the semen phase-i project for asphalted

Nagpur: Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) is set to the Tar Eight Roads selected for cement concretization under phase-I but cannot be resolved after the Unity Infraprohs contractor leaves work in the middle of the road.
The NMC project department submitted a RS19 crore proposal for Asphalting Eight Roads before the committee meeting was held in January.
Most of these tar roads are in sad conditions because NMC does not do renovation work, with all of them chosen for conversion to the cement road under phase-i.
In January 2015, NMC had entrusted Unity Infraprojects Limited to convert 30 tar tar – measuring 26.26km – for concrete cement in 24 months.
The project fee was repaired at RS107.02 Crore but was revised in February 2019 to RS126.57 Crore.
For various reasons, the company failed to complete the project and only converted 14 roads to concrete cement.
Working at eight stretches did not start at all.
To complete the remaining work, the NMC has invited tender and chose the bidder, which agreed to complete work by 3.4% below the RS47.17 Crore project fee.
But in the meantime, this contractor also stated the inability to carry out work.
Now, the NMC project department has decided to invite two separate tenders to carry out asphalt from eight roads.
It has been looking for RS9.62 Crore for four roads, namely Medical College Square to Krida Chowk to Umred Road, Park Road, South Ambazari Road to North Ambazari Road and Ram Nagar Chowk to Laxmi Bhuvan Square to VIP Road, and the same funds for four person.
Jalan – Jalan Bazaar Tengah, Kalpana Building to Janta Chowk, Gittikhadan Chowk to Dinshaw Factory Gorewada Road, Ishwar Nagar Chowk to Jyoti School and Mokshadham Chowk to St.
Along with this, civil administration has submitted six more proposals which are mostly related to reinforcement of the road.
The General Administrative Department has submitted a proposal for the expansion of the term of office of project management consultants for the Nagpur River project Mohammed Israel for four months at a cost of Rs1.67 lakh.
