Ahmedabad: The State House Department on Friday issued a notice that limits the burning time of firecrackers during Diwali and also for the Christmas Festival and New Year.
Notification states that during Diwali, firecrackers can turn on or even from 8pm to 10:00.
“In Diwali or at other festivals where crackers turn on, they can turn on for 8pm to 10pm.
At the same time, crackers can turn on or explode between 23.55 PM and 12:30 for Christmas and New Year,” he said.
Notifications say that only crackers who do not create many pollution according to the 2018 Supreme Court Guidelines will be permitted.
Notification also prohibits lighting and explodes a series of crackers when they make a loud noise and create air pollution.
Crackers from e-commerce websites have also been banned.
