New Delhi: He has landed in the US in 2018 at the age of five because of the work commitment of his parents, but the eight-year-old Delhi Boy Advay Misra has now returned home after being named “One of the smartest students in the world” by Johns Hopkins University.
Misra has been accepted at the prestigious center of the university for talented youth (CTY), whose alumni includes Mark Zuckerberg, Lady Gaga, the founders of Google, Rhodes Scholar and Fellows MacArthur.
He also secured second place in the US National Science Bee 2021.
A greedy fan of science and reader, Advay is now focused on the International Championship of the International Geography and Bee International History to be held in Quebec in August next year, which he has qualifies.

US National Science is a buzzer-based science competition for individual students, with questions from biology, chemistry, physics, earth, astronomy, mathematics, and other scientific fields.
This includes a written qualification exam, and a buzzer-based regional and national championship.
He studied at the Beekman Hill International School (Public School) in New York from Grade I to IV and now will continue his education at one of Delhi’s school.
Misra was given the Grand Honors Award, the highest category for “Extraordinary Performance in Sat, Act, or Mission Assessment” taken 15,000 class II students through VIII as part of the CTY talent search program.
The test score is based on testing the above levels and Misra is in the “Advanced CTY Level”, which is estimated to be four class levels above the current value.
