Surat: Eleven new cases of Covid-19 cases were detected in the city on Saturday, including an eight-year-old girl from Palace Shaurya’s apartment at Ghod Do Road.
Health officials suspected that the girl was infected by family members who had also been tested positively previously.
“He did not go to school and the possibility of being infected from other students was prevented,” said a health official.
Nine people were completely tested positively from Palace Shaurya’s apartment during this week.
None of them showed serious symptoms and were under the quarantine of the house.
“Positive people do not need treatment or hospitalization.
They are advised to remain quarantined and they will be tested again after the quarantine period is complete,” said a health official.
After a new positive case found from the solar complex in the city light area, this complex is declared a cluster area.
Meanwhile, the Municipal Corporation (SMC) letter was to hold mega vaccination drives on December 14 such as more than 2 lakh people who were vaccinated during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday would be eligible for the second dose.
“On Saturday 24,000 people took vaccines and on December 14 there will be a mega vaccination drive again,” added the official.
Among the districts in South Gujarat, four cases were reported at Navsari and two in Valsad.
There were no positive cases reported in the district letter, Bharuch, Tami and Dang on Saturday.
