Gurgaon: 80 buildings in the city have been declared a dangerous structure by MCG.
Officials said the Civic Agency had issued a notification to its owners, asking them to destroy such buildings or make structural changes to make it safe.
A report on the same thing has also been submitted to the Human Rights Commission Haryana (HHRC).
The majority of this unsafe building is in the old Gurgaon.
Facts, a total of 183 buildings are identified as an unsafe or dangerous structure by private companies contracted by MCG during the recent property tax assessment survey.
Of these, the MCG executive engineer evaluates 152 buildings and found 72 for safe and 80 dangerous.
The executive engineer will evaluate the remaining 31 buildings at the end of this month, officials told Ti.Vivek Gill, a Superintending MCG engineer, said, “We have issued a notification to the owner of 80 of these buildings and submitted a report on this dangerous building in the city to HHRC on January 5 this year.
We have given them time to respond after that we can start sealing these buildings because they are not safe for residence.
“Senior MCG official said that the executive engineers had provided clear direction to identify buildings – The building and took action as a company Haryana Municipal Corporation Act, 1994.
