At present, 45 patients like that in hospitals, where 42 are in private facilities.
There is no fatal that has been officially reported so far, but the level of hospitalization is very high and private hospitals have reported some severe critical patients with symptoms of dengue fever.
Health officials said they maintained the terms of the situation.
“Most patients are recognized as precautions and repatriated after three-four days.
It is also proven from a daily report because the number of patients in the hospital remains around 35-40 every day,” said Medical Officer Ghaziabad (CMO) Dr.
Bhavtosh Shankhdhar.
“It is a good thing that patients come to hospitals on time and get treatment.
The hospital is also asked to observe them if there are indications of their health deterioration,” CMO added.
According to health experts, the main reason for hospital admission is the number of low platelets.
Some patients with complications such as serosititis due to dengue fever (a condition in which the tissue in the stomach, heart and lungs filled with fluid) has also been received.
Dr.
Nishesh Jain, Senior Consultant (Internal Medicine) at the Max Hospital, Vaishali, said: “Every patient diagnosed with dengue fever does not require acceptance.
There are guides set to enter.
Somehow they have the symptoms of excess fluid, low platelet counts or Some other complications, such as uncontrolled heart disease or diabetes.
“Jain said from 35-40 dengue fever patients he had seen until now, 15 had been hospitalized.
At Yashoda Hospital in Nehru Nagar, 20 dengue fever patients had been accepted and 20% were found to suffer bleeding.
“We are a Tertiary Care Hospital, so we usually get patients in serious condition.
But we haven’t seen patients with severe bleeding or dengue shock,” Dr.
Saurabh Gupta, a senior internal drug consultant in the hospital, said.
Ghaziabad has seen a steady decline in cases of dengue fever for years to 2020.
In 2016, 621 cases were reported in this district.
That number fell to the next 232 years, which was further dipped in 68 in 2018.
The 29% increase was reported in 2019 (88 cases), which fell only 15 years ago.
Asked why more cases have been seen at this time, CMO said there was a surge in case of dengue fever every four-five years.
In addition, Ghaziabad has witnessed more rainfall in September this year compared to the past few years, which also caused an increase in mosquito breeding, he said.
Dr.
RK Gupta District Supervision Officer said the Ministry of Health had identified several regions in Ghaziabad who had reported a large number of cases, including Hersaon in Govindpuram, Mahendra Enclave at Shastri Nagar and several areas in Muradnagar and atepur.
Intensive door-to-door surveys, fogging and spraying of Larvisides are being carried out in these areas, he added.
