80-year-old fabric picker creates a green patch in B’luru

Octogenarian gates tend to be five tillers, take water every day from the nearest restaurant
When people don’t hesitate to cut thousands of trees on behalf of urbanization, an Octogenarian fabric picker has created a small forest in the heart of the city.
Venkatesh, who survived with food distributed by temples, ensured the five puppies planted on the empty plot on the Kreaur extension well maintained.
Venkatesh is homeless and says he wants to plant tillers so he can enjoy the shade of the trees in the future.
He watered the puppies by taking water from nearby restaurants.
“I have no shelter and no brother.
I visited the temple for food and the priests generously offered me prasadam.
I have no desire or ambition,” he said.
Environmental lovers and social activists have traveled young tree plantations between Kr Puram and Medahalli at Old Madras Road in July 2020.
They planted around 500 puppies on a 4.4 kilometer stretch.
Venkatesh, who was standing there as a spectator, approached the committee to give him some puppies.
“We were surprised to see him asking for it.
In general, fabric pickers asked for a plastic trash can but Venkatess insisted that we gave him some pupon.
I was reluctant to give him five of them,” said Balaji Raghotsaman, an environmental lover who participated in the plantation drive.

Raghotsaman, who happened to visit the place on Monday, was surprised to see the puppies planted well in the Mini Venkatesh forest.
“Venkatesh needed appreciation to keep the five puppies.
After we made a plantation drive last year, many tillers were damaged or removed by shop owners in different pretases.
Some say the puppies will hinder their store visibility when they grow higher.
Voluntary deeds Venkates make me smile and I salute him for his contribution to nature, “he said.
