Guwahati: 800 families occupying around 4,500 Pigang Land in the Darrang District Assam which was evicted as part of the encouragement of the state government against “encroachment” last Monday with a peaceful record now waiting for 1,000 bighas land for rehabilitation.
“All 800 families are expelled on Monday staying in the emergency camp on the road or nearby Sandbar on wetlands in Dholpur Village 3.
Administration has proposed to give them 1,000 Bighas in the area where they now live.
