Ranveer Singh Starrer ’83’ slowly edged closer to the coveted 100 crore marks.
The film was released around Christmas last month and had a difficult battle at the box office with Biggies like ‘Pushpa’ (Hindi) and ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’.
This sports drama is in the fourth week at the box office and has swept around Rs 1.75 Crore Nett.

The film recorded a drop of 53 percent from the previous week and now stands with a total RS 98.50 Crore Nett, the BoxofficeIndia report.
This will be a slow race for ’83’ to reach a sign of 100 crores.
It will not be possible for ’83’ if a film like ‘Jersey’ and ‘RRR’ has been attached to their release date.

Talking about the failure of the film, Director of Kabir Khan has shared that ’83’ is a victim of a pandemic because he had to face some restrictions on the sudden surge of Covid cases.
“I feel happy to make this film who has received so much love but at the same time there is a disappointment that not everyone who wants to watch it can see it today because the pandemics are there with historical numbers.
We maintain the film for it two years, Waiting for the right time so that everyone can see it on the big screen.
But with this pandemic, regardless of our best planning, someone will never be able to do it right, “Kabir Khan said to PTI.
Apart from Ranveer Singh, ’83’ also featured Deepika Padukone, Tripathi Pankaj, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jiiva, Saqib Saleem and Jatin Sarna, among others.
